[12:51.0]Once upon this planet earth,
[12:51.0]Lived a man of humble birth,
[12:51.0]Preaching love and freedom for his fellow man,
[12:51.0]He was dreaming of a day,
[12:51.0]Peace would come to earth to stay,
[12:51.0]And he spread this message all across the land.
[12:51.0]Turn the other cheek he鈥檇 plead,
[12:51.0]Love thy neighbor was his creed,
[12:51.0]Pain humiliation death, he did not dread
[12:51.0]With his Bible at his side,
[12:51.0]From his foes he did not hide,
[12:51.0]It鈥檚 hard to think that this great man is dead. (Oh yes)
[12:51.0]Will the murders never cease,
[12:51.0]Are thy men or are they beasts?
[12:51.0]What do they ever hope, ever hope to gain?
[12:51.0]Will my country fall, stand or fall?
[12:51.0]Is it too late for us all?
[12:51.0]And did Martin Luther King just die in vain?
[12:51.0]Cos he鈥檇 seen the mountain top,
[12:51.0]And he knew he could not stop,
[12:51.0]Always living with the threat of death ahead.
[12:51.0]Folks you鈥檇 better stop and think
[12:51.0]Cos we鈥檙e heading for the brink.
[12:51.0]What will happen now that he is dead?
[12:51.0]He was for equality,
[12:51.0]For all people you and me,
[12:51.0]Full of love and good will, hate was not his way.
[12:51.0]He was not a violent man.
[12:51.0]Tell me folks if you can,
[12:51.0]Just why, why was he shot down the other day?
[12:51.0]Well see he鈥檇 seen, the mountain top.
[12:51.0]And he knew he could not stop,
[12:51.0]Always living with the threat of death ahead.
[12:51.0]Folks you鈥檇 better stop and think鈥nd feel again,
[12:51.0]For we鈥檙e heading for the brink.
[12:51.0]What鈥檚 gonna happen now that the king of love is dead?
